STUDENTS: COME TO THE YOUTH WATER SYMPOSIUM/ COLLOQUE REGIONAL POUR LA JEUNESSE DE L’EAU>>MARCH 9 2010, OTTAWA

It’s time to get ready for the Water Symposium coming up on Tuesday March 9th, 2010 at the University of Ottawa. This will be a time when you can meet other high school students, get a free lunch and learn more about local and international battles on the frontlines of water justice and water sustainability!
There’ll be workshops like: “Stepping Up to the Challenge: Advancing Your School’s Bottled Water Campaign” and “Crafting the Word: Slam Poetry Writing Workshop.” On top of that, there’ll be a public event from 5-6pm showcasing your ideas on ways to advance school bottled water free zone campaigns and starring....YOU!
The countdown begins today for you and your school to register for this exciting event! And no worries about getting to Ottawa—the Polaris Institute can arrange transportation to and from your school on March 9th! Please fill out the registration form indicating a teacher you think could be a chaperone and we’ll get a bus organized!

Il faut commencer à se préparer pour le Colloque régional pour la jeunesse de l’eau 2010 qui aura lieu le 9 mars à l’université d’Ottawa. Ce sera une période de sensibilisation des campagnes locales et internationales concernant la sécurité de l’eau, la durabilité de l’eau et l’influence des corporations sur le contrôle d’eau publique. De plus, vous allez rencontrer d’autres étudiants du secondaire et vous allez recevoir un repas gratuit!
Il y aura aussi des ateliers comme: « Faire face au problème: Comment avancer votre campagne contre l’eau embouteillée » et « Les paroles mondiales : un atelier de slam poetry ».
Si vous avez de la difficulté à venir à l’Université, l’Institut de Polaris peut aussi organiser votre transport aller-retour de votre école pour le colloque.

Now is the time to promote a bottled water free orientation/event to your Student Union and PIRG for Fall 2009. Here are two ways you can help: 1) Send Elly the contact info of your campus orientation organizers; 2) Call or meet with your orientation leaders to discuss bottled water free events.
